5 Reasons Most Game Enthusiasts Cant Be Video Game Testers

Expert beta game testing isn't really that challenging. As a matter of fact, you might actually go as far as to say it's a simple job which does not call for excessive hard work. All you've got to do is boot the game up, play it as you ordinarily would, record the game's problems, then collect a paycheck when you are finished with the task. Seriously, does that sound like a difficult job to you? I doubt it!

5 Motives You'll Be Refused for Video Game Tester Jobs...

- You do not possess at least five years of video game experience. To be honest, you don't need to be considered a video game guru who has mastered every single video game on the market. But then again, you will have to have elementary understanding of the video gaming industry and how game creation works. The more experience and information you have, the better off you will be when it comes to landing video game tester jobs.

- You are not a minimum of 18 years of age. Some game developers have been able to employ (with restrictions) gamers who are 16 years old. On the other hand, this is in most cases a rare event in the world of professional video game testing.

- You don't own a next-gen gaming console and/or a high-end gaming PC. Owning both is better, but one or the other should do. If you're not up to date with the latest video game technologies, you honestly don't have any hope at all.

- You don't have a video games tester resume. No resume means zero consideration of any sort, plain & simple. Being a professional game tester means having to do real work that MUST BE taken seriously. This isn't a spare time activity you do on the weekends -- this is a REAL job.

- You have substandard writing and grammar skills. Game testers complete loads of reports & forms that are used by video game engineers to fix & improve video game titles. If the reports are not thoroughly detailed and easily comprehended, the software engineers aren't able to do their job. If a programmer is unable to do his duty, it more often than not means the tester has not done his.

If the 5 factors in the list above are not a problem for you, then you are definitely a prospect for expert video game testing. All that is remaining for you to do would be to begin looking for video game tester jobs in your area -- and if you know where to look, then it will not take you any longer than a couple of weeks!
